International Pop Culture Festival Celebrates 25th Edition with Star-Studded Lineup

01-05-2025

Comicon Napoli 2025 has officially sold out, marking a historic moment for the International Pop Culture Festival as it anticipates a record-breaking 183,000 visitors over its four-day run from May 1 to May 4. The event, celebrating its 25th edition, is set to transform the Mostra d'Oltremare into a hub of creativity, featuring over 400 exhibitors, 600 scheduled events, and more than 450 guests from around the globe.

Among the highlights of this year's festival is the appearance of Max Pezzali, who will present his new comic book, the fourth volume in the 'Max Forever' series. This collection, inspired by the stories and characters from his songs, has been brought to life by the talented comic artist and writer Roberto Recchioni. Fans will have the opportunity to meet Pezzali and Recchioni during a special signing session following their presentation at the Comicon Point.

Tanino Liberatore, a master of Italian illustration and comics, is this year's honored guest, taking on the prestigious role of Magister. The festival will pay tribute to Liberatore's illustrious career with the exhibition 'Drawing Power. The art of Liberatore'. Additionally, Liberatore has chosen Massimo Carnevale, one of Italy's most spectacular and energetic realistic artists, to be featured in another exhibition. The festival will also honor Altan with the Special Comicon 2025 Career Award, celebrating the 50th anniversary of his beloved character, La Pimpa.

With a lineup that includes Asia Argento, Igort, and the creators of Bungo Stray Dogs, among others, Comicon Napoli 2025 promises an unforgettable experience. The event will also host the eSerie A Goleador playoffs and final eight for the first time in Campania, a K-Pop Crew Battle Festival, and a tribute to Lupo Solitario, marking 40 years since the first gamebook arrived in Italy. This year's Comicon Napoli is not just a festival; it's a testament to the enduring appeal and growth of pop culture.
