Two 25-Year-Olds Arrested for Violent Gold Chain Robbery at Milan-Certosa Station

25-09-2025

Two 25-year-old men have been taken into custody following a violent robbery that occurred at Milan's Certosa station on June 25. The suspects, one Italian citizen and one Egyptian national, were arrested under precautionary custody orders issued by Milan's judicial authorities after a three-month investigation by Quarto Oggiaro police station officers.

The incident took place around 10:30 PM as the victim was descending the stairs of the pedestrian underpass leading to the train platforms. According to police reports, the two assailants, both with prior criminal records, approached the victim and violently ripped a yellow gold necklace from her neck. The attack involved multiple punches and kicks before the perpetrators pushed the victim to the ground and fled the scene.

Investigators credit surveillance camera footage from the station as crucial evidence in identifying the suspects. The video recordings captured the entire sequence of events, showing the initial confrontation and the arrival of the second assailant who joined the attack. The victim's detailed complaint provided additional information that helped authorities build their case against the two men.

The suspects were transported to San Vittore prison pending further judicial proceedings. Police coordination with the Milan Prosecutor's Office ensured the arrests were carried out successfully, bringing closure to an investigation that began immediately after the June incident. Both individuals remain in custody as legal proceedings continue.
